How to Play

The game has two basic rules:

Launch

Agar.io was first introduced by Matheus Valadares on 28 April 2015 via 4chan. At the time, Matheus was a 19-year-old developer from Brazil, and he created the game in just a few days using JavaScript and C++. Initially, there was no official name, and users had to connect directly to Valadares\' IP address to play.

The game was later named \"Agar.io\" by an anonymous 4chan user, and within a week, it had entered Steam Greenlight for further development.

Initial Reviews

At first, the feedback was mixed. Many praised the game\'s simple mechanics and enjoyed how it represented the competition for survival at a microscopic level. However, some criticized its repetitive nature and the controls of the mobile version.
