Tongits is a thrilling three-player card game that belongs to the Rummy family. The goal is to either clear your hand by forming sets (melds) or to minimize the total points when a fight occurs or when the central deck runs out. At the start, each player receives 12 cards, while the dealer gets 13. The remaining cards are placed in the center as the draw pile. The game kicks off when the dealer discards a card, and the next player has the option to either pick up the discarded card if it completes a set or adds to an existing one, or they can draw from the central pile. Players continue to form combinations and discard unnecessary cards until one of them wins by declaring \"Tongits,\" calling for a fight, or when the central stack is empty. If the latter happens, players tally the value of the remaining cards in their hands, and the player with the lowest total wins. To call a fight, a player must lay down a meld and refrain from discarding any more cards on their melds for that round. A player wins by Tongits if they can connect all their cards into valid combinations, using their opponent\'s melds or exposed sets, or if they clear their entire hand.
