Gold Miner is a beloved, classic casual game that takes players back to the early 2000s. In this timeless mining adventure, you’ll dive into a quest to gather gold, stones, and other precious minerals in order to meet your daily financial targets and accumulate impressive wealth. Each successful mining trip earns you money, which can be spent on various upgrades, including powerful explosives to help you mine more effectively. Thanks to its HTML5 version, you can now enjoy the game on your desktop or directly in your browser, anytime and anywhere!
Each level of Gold Miner follows a similar structure, though the difficulty escalates with each stage. You play as a miner positioned at the top of the screen, controlling a crane with a hook to grab valuable items. Your goal is to collect high-value objects like gold chunks, diamonds, animals carrying jewels, money bags, and more. However, the screen also contains less valuable items, such as non-precious metals, which you must avoid or strategically capture. These are mainly obstacles and time wasters that don\'t add much to your earnings.
Not All That Shines Is Gold
While gold is the star of the show, not all gold chunks are equally valuable. Some larger pieces can be worth $500 or more, while others of similar size might be worth much less. As a result, your strategy should be to collect as much as you can to meet your target. When in doubt, focus on grabbing diamonds—they’re always a safe bet.
Every Level Has a Financial Target
At the start of each level, you’ll be given a monetary target. In the first round, you need to collect $650 worth of gold and gems, which is relatively easy to achieve. However, as you progress through the levels, the required monetary goal increases, demanding more skill and careful planning to succeed.
The Shop Between Levels
After completing a level, you’ll encounter a shop where a vendor offers various items to help you in the next stage. Prices vary, and sometimes high-priced items indicate their importance for upcoming challenges, while other times the shopkeeper may be trying to overcharge you.
Your earnings are cumulative, so you can carry over your money from previous levels to the next one. If you’ve made a good amount of money and are close to meeting the next level’s target, consider splurging on some expensive items to boost your progress and increase your potential rewards.
Some shop items include:
